Dressing Makeup Room Décor

Wake up and Makeup!
The desire of many girls is to have a house that includes a dressing or a makeup room. The art of work done by me will motivate them to think and get their dressing rooms renovated. A whole space is dedicated to particular clothing and accessories. It is ought to be a functional space and designed to be useful and serviceable – perfect. It should be designed by your comfort and choice as it will reflect a personal fashion and clothing – that shows your taste.
There are numerous possibilities, from walk-in dressing room decor to smaller rooms with regards to the measurement of the area, types of furniture like a dressing table that will add elegance to space and mirrors. Ideas are limitless, for example: start with storage by creating rails, cabinets, and racks – allowing you to settle all clothing and accessories. Storage within dressing room decor is the first important, therefore, racks are of good use and orderly maintained. A dressing room is a desired addition to a house.
Designers choose neutral colors for dressing room decor as they cannot have lots of light. Smaller areas benefit from lighter colors and give the appearance of more space. Basic colors also permit garments to be noticeable and also depends on personal choices.
A smaller space may make for an easier design. Simple colors, fixed cupboards or racks, and a mirror make for a functional room. Making sure the furniture matches the room before you decide is the greatest option. Therefore, begin visualizing and re-creating your dressing room.

Gym Décor

Planet Fitness
Here is the art of work done by me for a modern gym. A home gym can be a great convenience, however, coming up with the perfect décor is a challenge. A good gym design can contribute to persons’ confidence in engaging physical activities – it should be both functional and aesthetical at the same time. Natural light and ventilation are the two important elements you need to take care of while designing a home gym décor. Room color, lighting, air quality, and air conditioning have a massive impact on workout routines. Creating an ideal gym décor impacts you throughout the workout sessions. It boosts your energy, enhances your focus, and keeps you motivated. The gym should be spacious to accommodate all equipment’s. Flooring should sustain weights and should be safe – non-slip; material like rubber or cushion.

Returning Hut

Hut Decor - Living room
The art of work done by me is old, unique and trendy. People are trying to get away from the noise of the city and return back to the long-lasting nature and breathe in fresh old designs. This might sound ironic but the truth is the young generation wants to see a collab of old and new décor.
The design style is simple, elegant and natural – it gives you tranquillity and peace. The plain wall is mainly made of bluestone, slate or solid wood – painted grey – my favorite color that will continue to be in style throughout the seasons and beyond. A cozy and warm living space is built by adopting simple and natural furniture as decoration in the space and through modest structures of the room.
P.S. Returning hut is generally an idea to try something different for holiday homes. It can also be used as a décor of your living room as it reflects peace and calmness – is nature oriented.

Teenage Child Room Decor

Simple, Unique, Creative
The art of work done for room interiors of a 12-14 years old – teenage child room. The room interiors will go for both boy and girl. At this age, the mind is growing, so you need to be very careful with the designs – you can’t put any wallpapers or paint the walls with dark colors. The color of the walls should be light – providing relaxation, calmness and spreading positivity. I know, at this age children want fancy stuff, but in order to do that fancy stuff, you need to visualize how will you create that creativity in a unique and pleasant manner. Instead of designing something on the walls, design the bed, design the cabinets and the chairs. Designing the lamps – monochromic style – hanging lights, giving enough lightning in a room.
The window at the back of the bed, and opposite to the study table is there for a purpose – it is scientifically proved that when you look around nature and breathe in the fresh air your mood swings instantly and brain cells charge up – that’s when you grow in ideas. I do not prefer chalk drawings, or athletic wallpapers because that can be a distraction sometimes. But yes I will prefer those, if a child is focused towards his/her goal, Ok! So if you want to become an athlete – go with athletic wallpapers; if you want to become a scientist – go with scientific wallpapers.
Make sure peeps to get your room renovated ha-ha!!!

Toddlers' Room Interior Decor

Toddlers' Room Decor
My recipe for a cool and cute children’s bedroom involves three main ingredients: great storage, theme paint with an amazing lightning. The room I made includes all three ingredients including some other specifications which work well for boys and girls –  or twins. Children spend a lot of time in their bedrooms – sleeping, playing, working; the interior of their room should be a reflection of their possibilities.
When it comes to children room décor my eyes always visualize white, airy, playful rooms. Adding the warmth of texture with cooling properties of curtains – printed white, gives it a balance to the overall texture of the room. The cozy chair with cool cushions for feeding or cuddles, it’s the best idea for a gorgeous. A fun wallpaper and contrasting prints with monochrome décor, things hanging on walls – makes it more attractive for the children to be in the joyful mind of state. For example, little dots, triangles, clouds or cartoon characters are just some of the many choices available. Making storage fun is also important by using cleverly shaped side tables and shelves. I love this mid-century styled cabinet with the display of vintage toys and fun artwork.
P.S. Art of work done by me for a toddlers room. This room is suitable for both boys and girls. This week theme will include different liking within interiors as we grew older.

Do's and Don'ts in Interior Designing

To do or not to do!!!
The post is for the beginners and for the people who want to design on their own. Keeping essentials do’s and don’ts in mind will help you in the long run – you won’t get bored of the designs. Don’t go before the trend, do what you like. Follow your personal style – buy things that will make you smile. Don’t do something for example painting room red because your best friend did it – create your own look and stick to your instincts. Take your time to think about the designs and don’t be discouraged if it does not come out to be perfect in one go. Interior designing is all about the journey of transforming a house into a home, finding uniqueness and building décor that tells a story.
P.S. Check out the essentials do’s and don’ts in the image – will be posting a post on do’s and don’ts of interiors every Monday certifying different elements – lightning, furniture, décor, curtains, rugs, paint, color etc.

Design Meditating

Design Meditating
The meditation room should be relaxing in every aspect of light, aroma, space etc. because the main purpose of the place is to think about yourself. The necessary designs will be good for your body and mind, the décor of the meditation room is not easy as you have to maintain stillness and focus on your mind when you be in that place. Stillness is associated both with our activities and our energy, and we have to think of design ideas that will actually help us neglect everything else, and focus on ourselves. Meditation rooms, nevertheless, remind us that we have to forget about that, and let go of stress.
Meditation evokes a long chain of cell reactions in our body that provide extra prana (energy), and help us feel peaceful, happy, and enthusiastic during the entire day. It is useful to calm the lonely, sad and depressed people décor the room with all the chimes, beads, crystals, stones and bells that you admire. Color should be neutral and pastel shades, ignoring bold and sensory objects – it will promote soothing and relaxing.
The meditation room should be at the northeast corner – as this is the religiously auspicious corner. I usually design meditation rooms thinking that will it will make you feel outside the universe rather than you are sitting at your own home. Buddha statues/paintings or any other calming artwork with some plant – bringing nature inside the rooms – while giving it a fresh positivity to increase Provata and Prokapha in your body – relaxing and calming – which will promote more balancing, stillness and maintain focus.
P.S. The art of work for the meditation room includes all aspects of soothing and relaxing the human body, mind, and soul. In this design, you will find the best ideas that will promote the concepts and importance of meditation to the highest level.

Kathakali Dance Interior

Kathak Dance Room
Every non-living object should say a story – I try to make non-living things speak in whatever design I make. For example, if you look at this wall it will tell you many different aspects of interiors and Kathakali dance styles. The colorful wall represents the sanity of the old culture of Kathak dance. The walls were designed by me in such a way that it will motivate people to learn more about the culture of Kathak dance and not just learning it physically. The different characters and the colors have a meaning which is described as:

·         Green represents Sattvika nature
·         Red represents Rajasic nature
·         Black represents Tamasic nature
·         Yellow represents Sattvika and Rajasic nature
·         Green goes with godliness, white with spirituality, red with ambition and violence and yellow with passivity, and black with evil.

All these significances are of great meaning – people now days are more indulge in learning the art physically. So, here is my dance room design for the youth out there to motivate them to stick to the basics of culture and learn every aspect of it.
@If you doing something, do it whole fully, leaving no efforts behind

Meditation Room Designing

Meditating Design
A comfortable room will be good for our mind and soul as it is for our body, particularly I’ve considered some creative meditation room ideas to give it a special flare of peace, and emotional welfare. Desks and traditional offices remind us meeting deadlines and paying bills. Kitchens impose the obligation to cook or maintain a healthy diet. Therefore, meditation rooms, remind us that we have to forget about all daily activities, and let go of stress.
Stillness is associated both with our activities and our energy, and we have to think of ideas that will actually help us neglect everything else, and focus on ourselves. It is just a glimpse, the detailed article with all the essentials elements of designing a meditation room will be posted tomorrow.

Modern Temple Architecture

Cultural Designing

Looking into interior designing, there are many elements that contribute to the way people view the room or area, such as the color, flooring, furniture, fabrics, and accessories in every room or place. When you go visit old temples, you always wonder how the architects manage to design the interiors and exteriors so beautifully and elegantly. When you are amazed at the architect's talent meanwhile your word mind starts thinking to renovate those old architect designs converting it into the modern interior while keeping the sanctity of the old architecture. I know it’s not easy as it sounds. But yeah!!! You just need to have a proper vision and direction to start creating and renovating things.

Complete or Incomplete...

Designing Saii
When you woke up each day and think of doing something creative – you design a temple. I noticed an incomplete design of the Sai Baba Temple in the magazine, my work mode mind goes on; I added some modern interior texture. It is designed for small-town homes because everybody has a right to have a holy place – that spreads positivity in-house.

Kathakali in Interiors

Kathakali Art
It’s the third day of Navratri, I bow my head, and thank God for blessing me with the talent of designing dreams. The most important place in the home is ‘Pooja Ghar’ (temple), the place from where all the positive energy comes. The place that is divine for us and we feel calm and concentrated sitting and meditating over there.
My thought is, if our living room and other rooms of the houses are decorated with beautiful interiors, then why not a temple. Here is my art of work designing furniture – glimpsing kathakali features collaborating with glass.
The work done is taken inspiration from the Kathakali art or dance.

P.S. Art of work for temple mixing Kathakali art with the new modern techniques.

Transforming cultural designs

Mandir Artwork
It’s the second day of Navratri, I am here to present an artwork for Pooja room in our home. It is considered as a most sacred place at home, from where all the positivity circulates. There are different types of designs based on space and décor – my main focus will be connecting culture to the modern day interiors.
The modern-day interiors are the use of glass, fancy lights, POP, fancy cabinets etc. whereas in the old time's people either build a separate room for mandir or a certain space which should always be in NE direction according to Vaastu.
The art of work you see in the pictures shows my vision to convert an old style temple into a modern style that is presented in neon print. The positivity, spirit, blessings will still remain the same but there will be different design and infrastructure which will still give you the glimpse of an old structure. This is what we call a renovation of the old designs into new keeping the cultural theme evergreen.

Collaboration of culture and designing!!

Cultural Designing!!

It’s Navratri yeah!!
I will be sharing my work mixing culture with designing throughout the week. Bowing my head every morning to be thankful for the talent Mata Rani gives to me – designing peoples’ dreams. I feel so obliged – that by whatever means I am contributing my work to create a positive livelihood for the people by designing their life.
If you all zoom and notice my today’s art of work, you will see Maa Vaishno Darbar in the background. Tribute to Maa Vaishno to bless me with the talent – which is certainly my life. As you all know by now, my love for making coffee tables and chairs is extraordinary. As I visited Vaishno Devi, a few weeks ago, I found chairs on the way of walking uphill, as you know how an ID’s minds are – always on work mode, I start renovating everything and everywhere ha-ha!! I think I did the same with chairs on the way, renovated the design of the chairs and tables.

Living a designer life!!

Acting Smart
“Design your life as you are the only designer of your life”. I have always wanted to do something in the creative field, as I mentioned in my previous posts, that I first got admitted into fashion designing. For a while, I really wanted to be a fashion designer and then I realized I just wanted to wear the chic accessories and clothes and not really design them @heels, dresses, earrings – I think they are my guilty pleasures ha-ha!! Since my childhood, I always draw houses while other kids draw trees and flowers; and I always wonder when I was 10 years, do you really get paid for making pretty houses. I guess in my subconscious mind I knew I will be an ID – ha-ha!! Going back to my childhood, if I have to change something, I think I will appreciate sleep more and how slim I was as a pre-baby ha-ha!! I think I am still a sweet16 as I always pick my cousin's small little bicycle and paddle it. 😉
‘I don’t design houses, I design dreams’, I got inspired by this saying, it wants me to think about interiors day and night. The mind of an interior designer is always busy – you will never found calmness, they are always looking at things and designing them – even on their coffee table, (I think every style savvy homeowner should have a coffee table – maybe because I love to design coffee tables).
It’s very hard to switch my ‘work brain' off but in order to keep my work and my family balance, I try my hardest to talk to my fav peeps, because they are with me when interior designing was not. So, I make sure to shut down my designing mind aside and spend time with my parents and my BFF, I make sure, I am always there with them whenever they need me, because there will be a time in your life when you will cherish these moments – and I don’t want any guilt at that time (selfish me, ha-ha!!), And yes how can I forget my favorite person at home – my dog@Crsty, omg!! She gives me so much positivity –  dogs’ love is unconditional. She always waits for me, if I am coming late or early – she is always at the door as she hears my car coming in the garage.
‘Your initial reaction is always the best one – trust your vibes – trust your gut feeling’. The day I logged into Pinterest, I wanted to spread my work creating my own blog. As quoted, “If you look at what you have in life, you will always have more.” This quote inspired me to have faith in my talent. You not always get what you want. I would like to suggest to the ID’s freshers if you want to start a blog or website, don’t look at the established interior designers; because they are at that place for many years. Get inspired from them, create your own footsteps by renovating theirs 😉  Stick to your basics, black and white color are just classic stick to them, try creating different color combos, try getting indulge in your designs, your designs should speak on their own without you uttering a word – and that’s the moment you will feel proud of yourself.
Hey, young interior designers out there – Just go for it!!!

Planning&Plotting #InteriorDesigning

Planning&Plotting
As quoted, ‘The most difficult thing is the decision to act, rest is merely tenacity.’ The biggest fear in life is to take the first step. You always have butterflies in your stomach when you even think of doing something. I will suggest to the people reading this blog – set a target for yourself and hit it with a bull’s eye. After gaining my title as an Interior Designer, I did my internship at “Neokrit Design”, an interior designing firm. I had my first job there, as the company hired me after seeing my hard work and passion towards my profession during my internship. As I said before, you need to have a physical exposure to renovate in your ideas. Working with Neokrit designs, I got my practical experience in the business of decor. People usually confuse an interior decorator with a designer, therefore, the decorator is a person decorates the living whereas interior designers create it. I would like to share few facts of designing with your peeps, this will give you the minor knowledge and encourage future ID’s.
The power of positivity is one of the essential tools in interior designing. For example, if you are designing something – everything – color schemes, marbles, flooring, etc is perfect but if it's not according to ‘Vastu’, then it won’t create a positive lifestyle. Most of the people are hard believers of Vastu and some are not but we as professionals make sure to create the positive living for everybody.
This is for the future ID’s when you go out on fields, focus on minor things because these minor things really make a difference, this will make you unique from others. Some of the minor details that you should focus on is wood plyboard – veneers give you an original feel of the wood whereas mica is kind of plastic look, different kinds of hinges, flooring – marble, tiles or wooden; these are the minor information that will help you in color scheming and designing the layouts.
Talking about my accomplishments, I will say I accomplish more than a handful of knowledge while working with Neokrit Designs. My journey in the office was always a roller coaster ride, you know how the office is – the colleagues can’t see you growing or working independently. I always work independently, the company had provided me so much authority to make decisions and handle meeting because they knew my capabilities as I always give them the options of designs and sketches. Diplomacy was the biggest reason, I left the job, it was not more fun working in that environment. I think that diplomat image of the staff, encourage me more to start something of my own. As you all can see me working independently with my new blog– ‘I am the boss now’ @D’ArtbyShriya.
P.S. The post include my style of working – writing down and sketching up all the details to complete everything before the deadline.

@sequel of my story of being an interior designer :)

It’s all started up and will end with interior designing. Falling down, growing up stronger I found my way in Delhi. Struggling with the change in lifestyle and working hard to be a future interior designer. I knew, being an ID will eventually make me happy. I am proud to be a grown-up ID, I can see my ideas growing every passing day, I can see myself in the mirror with proud. “I just re-designed our house”, and I think my parents are proud of me.
I still remember the first day of college and I took a different lane bus and went to Dwarka instead of going Karol Bagh, that was the funniest blunder happened with me. Carrying those big bags with all the stationary, I figured out my way to reach college on time. To be honest, ‘I am not a morning person’.
What I feel is theoretical knowledge is important to stick to the basics and plan everything accordingly. But according to the real world scenario in our profession of interiors, practical knowledge is more important. Site seeing, training, material inspections, floor planning etc gives you a great sense to design. Practical knowledge will give you a brief idea of space, color combinations, furniture settings, and other minor stuff. We really have to work hard to update our ideas and be creative. Same as doctors or engineers, we also real magazines, net survey, articles to stay connected with ongoing trends – and to renovate those trends in your own uniqueness.
The best pleasure I have in my college life is ‘Bitto ke Samose’, an Indian dish every Delhiite will know. They are my stress busters. I used to sit in the cafeteria for long hours, there was garden view – which spread so positivity, that I sit there with my no.2 pencil, creating a vision in my head and sketching it on the sheet. My friends call m foodaholic, as they always find me sitting in the cafeteria, but they never knew I am actually being a bookaholic ha-ha!! To be honest, studying interiors is so much fun, there is so much to learn and you will never get bored of this.
P.S. Part 2 of my story as a grown up interior designer. I am sharing my journey of being an ID, so, the youth will have an exact picture frame to get inspire like how we grow, or how we become more creative.

Stepped into designing @sequel-of-my-story-part-1

First Day - Janki Devi #WhenISaidHelloToInteriorDesigning

People always see what you are now, they never wonder what it took to become or to reach here. Interior designing for me is my life. I wonder if my story will inspire the youth, it’s not that great story that might win Oscar but it is challenging and inspiring, so bare me with me to read my sequel story throughout the week.
It all started after my high school when it’s time to choose my career, and I chose Fashion Designing, which was my childhood dream. I am very fond of artistically things – paintings, art, creating best out of waste and doing color schemes is the best part of my day. Though things were never smooth in the college, I realized fashion designing is not what will make me happy. Our house was under construction at that time and my father appointed an interior designer, and I was so fascinated to see their work, how they create a living, how they visualize things and give it the best sketch. Therefore, I changed my plans and took admission in Delhi University to pursue my dreams as an interior designing major.
You can see me now as a grown-up interior designer, but the journey was not a piece of cake. A small town girl, going out to pursue her dreams in a totally different lifestyle is much more fearing than exciting. I always used to take that pressure of work and to be honest I felt like leaving it between, but you know we Punjabis never quit ha-ha!! By the time, I was a typical Delhiite, dressing sense, maturity, a way of talking, smartness etc. life taught everything – and yes these lessons are important for everybody as you have to be smart to reach your goals
The early struggles omg! I will remember and cherish them throughout my life. As the new batch starts in April, and I started in mid-October, I only got 15 days by the college authorities to complete the following work. The college authorities will remember me forever as I completed everything in 14 days, and astonished them ha-ha!!
Completing everything in 14 days was not easy, this will give youth an inspiration that when you are dedicated to doing something you will always end up succeeding. The great roles of teachers and friends – boosting my moral, helping me designing and explaining the minor-minor things that are important to create a perfect design.
P.S. It’s the first part of my journey, I will be writing more in sequence throughout the week.

Office Forecast!!

Office Forecast!

WOOP – HERE IT IS! My 2018 Office Forecast!!
It’s pretty clear, this office is ultimately GORGEOUS and serves as major inspiration for anyone hoping to design their dream office in the next year – or two – or three. The office is a location where you want to be creative to attract clients and earn business. I make sure that my visions and ideas as an ID are artistically clear, creative and represented in a way that clients should understand and visualize it. I really wanted to pick designs that I think are lasting. Notice I didn’t use the word trend… I dislike the word trend. Trends will be gone one day, so I make sure to be creative in a sense that can match the future designs, ideas, and style.

Innovating clients' requirement

Layout-Art of Work

As quoted, if you hear a voice within you say ‘You cannot PAINT’, then, by all means, paint and that
 voice will be silenced.
Stating a fact that nothing is bigger than your dreams. If you want to become a painter, designer, architecture, or decorator; go for it. As long as you wait the world will pull you back. When people question me that will I be able to do this, I take a deep breath and take it as a challenge to silence them with my talent.
P.S. Layout design of a house followed by neon prints done by me last year. The client wants everything in a small space. You have to be creative to fit everything within a given space and make it unique and worth for the clients. This is a job of an ID to create a sense of responsiveness and follows his/her passion with a vision of clients requirements. Thinking and visualizing ideas and layouts is not a piece of cake, it takes so many donuts with sprinkles on the top to give your best. @wait wait!! donuts have nothing to do with interiors, it just helps me to be innovative :p

Critical Thinking #interiordesigning

Thinking of excellence
I started this blog to share with you all the ideas, inspirations, that I have. Take your time to look around, and cherish all things design!
There is rarely a minute that goes that I am not thinking about 100 different things at once. What colour this, what size that, what windows, what rug, who’s on the phone, where are my shoes, where I am going to eat??  It’s just constant, but I am grateful and accepting of every single minute I get a chance to do what I love – creativity and designing.
Saturday Affirmations:  “Today I will take one more step toward my dreams.”
Being said that, I pursue my dreams and yes made it my first priority. A life without a dream is like a half-filled cup of water – which will lead you to nowhere. Its all about designing a life – yours and others. Doctors may save a life but we as an ID make doctors and everybody’s life worth living.
P.S. Sharing a picture of my free time, where I just sit, relax, sip green tea and think how much more uniqueness and creativity I can put in my work.

Sketches to Layouts #interiordesigning

#Sketches to Layouts#

Sketching is the most important tool for an ID. A number 2 pencil and a vision in the head can get the best sketch on the sheet. It’s all start with a sketch if you don’t have a pencil sketch sketched before you start construction, you missing out minor points in designing.
P.S. Sharing my sketches I made while growing up as an artist when I love doing sketching which later turns into making layouts as an ID professional.

Growing up as an artist #InteriorDesigning#HappyWomen'sDay#

Growing up as an artist!
If you've ever walked into a room, office, or hotel lobby and immediately noticed an array of color, fabric, lighting, and furniture that creatively pleases the eye, you've witnessed the work of an Interior Designer. A designer uses his or her own creativity to create a positive and satisfying living. Life is full of joy, from organizing furniture’s to designing interiors professionally; I was grown up as an artist. Rather than getting my feet in the mud and playing outdoors, I remember I used to sit with my Reynolds watercolors and paintbrushes – painting my house furniture. I know it sounds weird but yes I did, which eventually turns out to be horrible at that time but it turns out great when I do it now professionally. In our ID profession creativity is the first serious step that owes you the title of becoming an ID. If you are creative enough that you can put a life in a boring or waste thing, then you are capable enough to design a living for others.

P.S. Some of the work done by me in the process of growing up as an artist. I am sharing all this work with you as a memory that every interior designer was once a kid who designed artistically things – made of waste in his/her childhood.

Spreading Interiors #ArtofWork

Template#spreadthelink#interiordesigning
Interior designing has been a great tool to influence people’s mood. They highly invest their time seeing different designs over the places thinking whether they will be able to get this designing. The answer to this question is Yes, designing is not always about spending money; sometimes it's about taking the right fixtures, thinking something unique and fix it. When you start something new people are always concerned about how you will create your identity in the millions of designers out there. Marketing your own blog is getting harder as there are so good artists already with their own talent and uniqueness. But the talent and innovation of every individual are different. As quoted, all the fingers are not alike, same as all the interior designers are not alike. They differ in ideas, creativity, innovations etc. Respecting the talent of each and every ID out there, appreciating their work is the first step to create a positive living for yourself.
P.S. The ad template created by me to post on the website signifying some of my great works, i.e. interiors, painting, layouts, handcrafting etc. Spread the link friends to connect more people with D’Art by Shriya #ArtofWork.

The Vision for Reality #Interior Designing

The vision for reality!!
I always have a great interest in Interior Designing. My interest has grown through watching programmes related to designing homes. I understand that visualizing and designing the interior is very important whether it’s a home, school, office or any other building as it makes a place look unique and fit for purpose. Looking at different homes and offices made me realize that I have to build a perfect vision in my mind before I proceed with it. Vision gives you the motivation to catch your target within deadlines. You are inspired to work on the target and create a sketch with your no. 2 pencils similar to the vision you have in your head. Critical and innovative thinking are the essential parts that an ID has to go through every day to create a perfect vision.

P.S. The image includes a vision that transformed into reality. The vision created by me inspired me to get the same design into reality to provide a better living and uniqueness. Vision is really important – my motto is: sketch without a vision is always incomplete.

Passion, Magic (Interior Designing)

As quoted, “Allow your passion to become your purpose and one day it will become your profession”. I always lightened up my passion to create magic. When you start something new like a blog or something, what people want to ask you is, ummm.. what makes this girl so passionate about art? What are the emotions behind it?
My passion for designing is a long story – I might share that in a sequence of stories in my later blogs. But for today, I would like to share my work from my college days . Basically, this work of mine makes me passionate today and inspires me to design. The passion always grows as you start doing work enrooting the techniques you learned or the work you have done in past.
Every design, I have designed there is an emotion behind it. To create a magic or to create a positive living is not easy until you create a magic within yourself. Finding out what makes me happy is what me passionate to pick up my no.2 pencil and start designing and fulfilling my dreams; thereby creating a living for others.
P.S. The work I am sharing was done in my college days. It is very close to my heart as it was the first thing I did professionally as an interior designer. An ID is not about creating sketches it’s all about creating magic.

Transformation#D'Art by Shriya

As quoted, “A no.2 pencil and a dream can take you anywhere.” Same happened to me, I started my designing as a passion to transform things – to throw life into them. I don’t know in the process of designing when interior designing became my passion, my career, and my forever cup of tea.
Today, I will talk about how as an Interior Designer I transform imaginations and thoughts into reality. It’s not easy to create something different all the time; you have to think, imagine, re-think, design, and do it again until you are satisfied with its uniqueness. Interior designing is all about transforming – before VS after – an idea that would fill the place with life.
Here is a glimpse of my latest work. Television viewing can be as boring as anything. Like you can be stuck with a bad movie or who knows maybe you had a bad day – you need to see something creative and attractive even when you are watching television; that can motivate you, and inspire you for another day. My client is a big fan of playing guitar, thereby, she didn’t pursue her career as a guitarist. So, I decided to design something that will always make her remember her passion, her talent, and her dreams. This was my little art of work signifying transformation of things into life or inspiring people through my designs.
